Pasta with Walnut and Basil

Pasta with Walnut and  Basil

Ingredients:

1 pound of pasta (your choice)

1 garlic clove

handful of fresh basil leaves

1 cup of shelled walnuts

1/4 cup butter

Olive Oil

1/2 fresh grated parmesan cheese


Directions:

Boil pasta with a pinch of salt in the water until tender but slightly firm. Take a piece out of the boiling water. Let cool for a few seconds then taste. Once it is done drain in a colander then rinse in cold water and let sit.

In a food processor or blender take walnuts, basil, 1/2 of the parmesan cheese and garlic and blend until smooth.

Heat a pan with the olive oil and butter together. Then add the walnut mixture and stir well. Add the pasta, stir until heated through. Top with the remaining parmesan cheese and serve immediately.
