The chocolate chip cookie . What is not to love about this yummy, soft (or crunchy) full of chocolate treat. Believe it or not learning to bake and not over bake our food takes time and practice. Cookies for instance, some recipes will call for a 350 or a 375 degree oven. It really depends on your oven but a good cooking time for a chocolate chip cookie is about 10-11 minutes. That will yield a yummy soft cookie. When you take them out of the oven be sure to let them sit for about 3 minutes on the cookie sheet. Carefully transfer them to a baking rack to cool. If you don't have one don't worry. I have been known to open the toaster oven and use the rack to cool my cookies. Give this chocolate chip cookie recipe a try, I'm sure you will love it!
Ingredients
2 1/4 cups all purpose flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 cup (2 sticks butter)
3/4 sugar
3/4 packed brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 large eggs
12 oz. package semisweet chocolate chips
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375 (if you have a convection oven use that setting)
Combine flour, baking soda and salt in a bowl
Beat butter, sugar, brown sugar, vanilla eggs (one a time) beating after each egg until creamy.
Slowly add your flour mixture to your creamed mixture a little at a time until it is fully incorporated. Pour in the chocolate chips and fold in with a spatula.
Drop by rounded teaspoon fulls onto parchment lined cookie sheet.
Bake about 9-11 minutes. Take out of oven and cool for about 2 minutes before transferring the cookies to a cooling rack.
